Who can take part

  • You must have a confirmed diagnosis of prostate cancer (adenocarcinoma).
  • You need a testosterone level above 100 ng/dL and a PSA level above 0.2 ng/mL (but below 20 for this study).
  • Your cancer should be a specific risk level: Gleason score 3+4 (with PSA below 20) or Gleason 3+3 (with PSA between 10 and 20).
  • You must be able to swallow pills and willing to take daily medication if you are in the experimental group.
  • You should not have had any prior treatment for prostate cancer with surgery or radiation directed to the prostate.
