Who can take part
- You’re age 18 to 75.
- Your esophagus cancer is confirmed as squamous cell type and is not removable by surgery (unresectable), with a specific stage grouping (T3/T4 with limited lymph node spread).
- Your cancer treatment plan is starting at the Cancer Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences.
- Your general health is fairly good (ECOG performance status 0–1) and your expected survival is at least 3 months; you also score low on symptom burden (NRS2002 less than 3).
- Your blood tests and organ function are within required limits (enough blood counts; acceptable kidney, liver, and clotting function).
- You do not have certain exclusions like spread to distant organs (like liver/lung/bone/CNS), recent heart problems, active infections (including hepatitis/TB), pregnancy/breastfeeding, or past severe allergy to paclitaxel, albumin, or cisplatin. You also must not be in another trial within the last 4 weeks.
