Who can take part

  • You already had surgery for early breast cancer and still need radiation therapy
  • Your standard radiation plan would give your heart a mean dose of about 4 Gy or more and/or your lung V20 is 37% or higher
  • You can have a radiation boost and certain reconstructions, and some medical issues after surgery are allowed
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding
  • You have a life expectancy of at least 10 years
  • You have no prior radiation to the chest area and no prior breast cancer or DCIS
