Who can take part

  • You were hospitalized for cardiogenic shock at one of the study hospitals (Niguarda Hospital or the listed centers).
  • Your hospital admission falls between January 2020 and December 2030.
  • You meet the study’s cardiogenic shock definition, such as low blood pressure despite appropriate fluid treatment.
  • You also have signs of poor blood flow to the body, such as low mixed venous oxygen, high blood lactate, or low urine output for several hours.
  • You may need medicines to raise blood pressure, or heart support (MCS), depending on how your care team treats you.
