Who can take part
- Be 18 to 99 years old
- Be having a planned (elective) ENT surgery under general anesthesia
- Be generally healthy for anesthesia (ASA I or II)
- You must not take antidepressants, tranquilizers, or other psychiatric medicines
- Have no history of mental illness, brain/nerve problems, or other nerve/psychiatric conditions that affect the brain
- You should not have eye problems and should not have memory/thinking difficulties before surgery
