Who can take part

  • Be 18 to 99 years old
  • Be having a planned (elective) ENT surgery under general anesthesia
  • Be generally healthy for anesthesia (ASA I or II)
  • You must not take antidepressants, tranquilizers, or other psychiatric medicines
  • Have no history of mental illness, brain/nerve problems, or other nerve/psychiatric conditions that affect the brain
  • You should not have eye problems and should not have memory/thinking difficulties before surgery
