Who can take part
- You are age 40 or older and have a VP shunt for normal pressure hydrocephalus
- Your care team suspects your shunt may be blocked (not flowing properly)
- You (or a legal guardian/health care agent) can give consent for the study
- You have only one VP shunt setup (no additional shunts or extra distal shunt tubing on the same side)
- The ShuntCheck test will not delay urgent shunt surgery, and it should not interfere with your usual care
