Brain stimulation plus memory practice to improve stroke arm recovery

Who can take part

  • You’re age 21 or older
  • Your first stroke happened at least 6 months ago, and it left you with arm weakness (hemiparesis) that affects arm movement
  • You have moderate to severe arm movement problems and can still move your shoulder and elbow using your own effort (voluntary activation)
  • You can follow the therapy instructions and understand commands in English
  • Your vision can fully see the screen during the task (no major visual field loss that blocks viewing)
  • You haven’t had certain recent treatments or conflicting studies for the affected arm (within 6 weeks), and you haven’t had spasticity treatments (meds or Botox) within 3 months
