Who can take part
- Be at least 18 years old and willing to sign consent and follow study visits
- Have confirmed breast cancer that is HER2-negative; and either metastatic triple-negative or hormone-resistant (Phase 1) or triple-negative with high-risk remaining disease (Phase 2)
- For triple-negative: lab testing must show very low estrogen/progesterone receptor levels (less than 10%) and HER2 must be negative
- If you had surgery for earlier-stage cancer (Phase 2): there must have been remaining disease after treatment (not a complete pathologic response)
- Be healthy enough for treatment: recent blood counts and liver/kidney tests must meet study limits, and your activity level must be not more than mild-to-moderate limitation (ECOG 0–2)
