You may be eligible if you have a long history of opioid dependence and have tried multiple treatment options without lasting success.

Who can take part

  • You’re 22 or older and have opioid use disorder as your main diagnosis
  • You’ve had opioid use, relapse, and/or cravings for at least 5 years
  • You’ve tried at least two different treatment types but still have cravings
  • You can complete brain testing, including a neuro-psych evaluation, a psychiatric evaluation, and an MRI
  • Blood tests and infection checks must be acceptable (no concerning bleeding/clotting issues or blood infections)
  • You must not have had prior brain surgery and must not have certain brain/MRI findings that make stimulation unsafe
