Who can take part

  • You have COVID-19 symptoms, like fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, shortness of breath, loss of smell, tiredness, diarrhea, vomiting, or pink eye.
  • Your illness is mild or moderate—your oxygen level must be at least 94% (or 90% in Mexico City/Guadalajara) while breathing room air or with limited extra oxygen.
  • Your symptoms started 5 days ago or less.
  • You understand the study and agree to be randomly assigned to a treatment group.
  • You are not pregnant (or pregnancy is not suspected) at the time of screening.
  • You are not severely/critically ill and do not need high oxygen (4 liters per minute or more).
