Who can take part
- Have a confirmed diagnosis of extensive-stage small cell lung cancer (in the lung or in areas it has spread to)
- After 4–6 cycles of standard chemo plus atezolizumab, your scans show partial response or stable disease (not cancer growing), and you can start randomization within set timing windows
- Have measurable cancer on scans, and at most 3 visible liver metastases, with no evidence of progression
- Blood tests must meet safety thresholds (including enough white blood cells, platelets, hemoglobin) and your organs (kidneys and liver) must work well enough
- You can’t have certain prior treatments or serious autoimmune/ lung conditions, and you must be able to complete required imaging and consent before joining
