Who can take part

  • You have extensive-stage small cell lung cancer that has not been treated before.
  • You are 18 or older and in good enough health to be up and about (ECOG 0 or 1).
  • You have at least one tumor that can be measured on scans.
  • If you have had brain metastases that were treated and are stable, you may still qualify.
  • Your blood counts and organ function meet specific lab criteria, like adequate white blood cells and kidney function.
  • Women who could become pregnant must use effective birth control during and for 90 days after treatment.
