This trial studies an active hand brace (orthosis) that helps improve hand use in daily life after stroke. You may be able to join if you have stroke-related hand weakness and can safely use the device as directed.

Who can take part
- You are an adult age 18 or older
- Your most recent stroke happened at least 6 months ago
- Your affected hand or arm is weak and makes everyday tasks hard
- Your fingers can be fully moved by someone else (full passive finger movement)
- You can understand and follow instructions (intact thinking/cognition)
- Your upper arm muscles have some working control to help operate the brace
