Who can take part
- You are a woman aged 55 to 65 and postmenopausal for more than 2 years
- Your BMI is between 35 and 39.9 (a specific weight-for-height range)
- You are not currently using any weight-loss or weight-reduction interventions
- You are not taking certain medications, including cholesterol-lowering drugs and some heart/BP or hormone-related medicines
- You do not have an active serious long-term illness (or unstable hormone/diabetes problems)
- You have no cancer, no smoking, and you haven’t donated blood recently or joined another study in the past 90 days
