Stent graft for aortic arch problems in high-risk patients
Part of Heart & circulation clinical trials.
This study tests a new stent graft device to treat problems in the aortic arch, such as aneurysms or chronic dissections, without open surgery. It may help people who are not good candidates for traditional open repair.

Who can take part
- You must be 18 or older.
- You have a condition like a chronic aortic dissection, an aortic aneurysm, an ulcer, or a hematoma in the aortic arch (the curved part of the aorta).
- Your condition is not an emergency (no rupture, trauma, or unstable aneurysm).
- You have not had a stent or stent graft placed in the area being treated before.
- You do not have a connective tissue disorder like Marfan or Ehlers-Danlos syndromes.
- You are considered high risk for open surgery by your doctor.

This study tests a new stent graft placed through the groin/back to treat problems in the ascending aorta (and sometimes the arch), usually when open-heart surgery is considered too risky. Doctors will check whether the device is safe and works well over time, including imaging and a long follow-up.
This trial tests a stent graft device to repair a tear in the main artery from the heart (aorta). It is for people who have a high-risk condition called Type A aortic dissection and are not good candidates for open heart surgery.
This study looks at using special branched stent-grafts to treat problems in the aortic arch (such as aneurysm or certain tears). It focuses on how well this approach works and how patients do over follow-up visits.
This trial tests a special stent-graft designed for aortic arch aneurysms or ulcers that need treatment near the heart. It might be an option if you are not a good candidate for open surgery.
This trial tests a special stent graft for people with a type B aortic dissection that needs a new blood flow path to the left subclavian artery. The device is placed in the aortic arch to repair the tear and keep blood flowing normally.
This study tests a custom-made stent graft (a fabric and metal tube) that is placed inside the aorta to fix a bulging area (aneurysm) without open surgery. It is for people whose aneurysms are complex and who are not good candidates for traditional surgery.
