Who can take part

  • You are receiving routine well-child care at a Sanford clinic or hospital
  • Your child’s age fits one of these groups: newborn (term), under 6, ages 9–16, or a sibling age 6–17
  • Your parent/guardian (or you, for eligible newborn situations) can sign consent before active labor (newborn group) or otherwise consent for the study
  • You can use MyChart with proxy access (active MyChart account)
  • Your child does not already have type 1 diabetes
