Who can take part
- You are pregnant and less than 20 weeks along
- You plan to deliver at Guangzhou Women and Children’s Medical Center
- You live in Guangzhou (or plan to stay in Guangzhou with your child for over 3 years)
- You should not have significant heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, or hyperthyroidism
- You should not currently be taking antidepressants or other treatments for depression
- When your samples are collected, you should not be sick with an infection
