Who can take part

  • You are age 18 or older.
  • Your biopsy or surgery confirmed atypical or malignant meningioma.
  • Your MRI shows the tumor has come back (at least 1 cm and visible on at least two 5-mm slices), or a new biopsy/surgery also confirms the same diagnosis.
  • You’ve had surgery and radiation before, and your last radiation was at least 4 weeks ago (and last chemotherapy at least 4 weeks ago if you had it).
  • You can swallow the apatinib tablet whole, and you have no major swallowing problems or severe stomach/intestine issues that prevent taking pills.
  • Your body can handle treatment: generally good heart/lung/liver/kidney function, no uncontrolled bleeding/clotting problems, and expected survival of at least 12 weeks.
