Who can take part
- Be between 18 and 70 years old
- Have major depressive disorder right now, with moderate to severe symptoms (MADRS score over 19)
- Have tried 1 to 4 antidepressant medicines in this current episode without enough improvement
- If you take psychiatric (mental health) medicines, keep the same doses and plan during the scan period
- Be willing and able to get non-invasive brain stimulation, attend visits for about 8 weeks, and give informed consent
