Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 65 years old.
- You have been diagnosed with major depression and are currently having a depressive episode.
- Your depression is moderate to severe (scoring between 11 and 20 on a standard depression questionnaire).
- You do not have any history of seizures or a seizure disorder.
- You do not have any neurological conditions (like epilepsy, unless you are in the special epilepsy group) or uncontrolled medical problems.
- You have not had any prior head injury that caused you to lose consciousness.
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
- You have not had a suicide attempt in the past year.
