Who can take part
- You have salivary gland cancer that has been surgically removed (or is resectable) and is stage II with positive margins, or stage III, IVA, or IVB
- Your tumor test shows HER2 is positive (by special staining, a gene amplification test, or a HER2 mutation on tumor genetic testing)
- You can provide tumor tissue samples (from a biopsy or the surgery) and provide blood samples before, during, and after treatment
- You are age 18 or older and feel well enough for study treatment (ECOG 0–1, or similar good-function score)
- Your blood counts and organ tests are in acceptable ranges, and your electrolytes (calcium, magnesium, potassium) are normal
- Your heart pumping function is adequate (left heart ejection fraction at least 50% on an echo or MUGA scan)
