Who can take part

  • Be age 60 or older
  • Attend a participating senior center in Seattle, NYC, or Tampa
  • Screen positive for depression symptoms (PHQ-9 score 10 or higher)
  • Be diagnosed with depression or anxiety based on clinic assessment (HAM-D over 14; and thinking tests within range)
  • Be able to take part in the program and sign consent; either not on antidepressants or on the same dose for 12 weeks
