Who can take part

  • You have primary (not caused by other diseases) arthritis in the main shoulder joint
  • Your rotator cuff tendons are intact (not fully torn)
  • You are between 65 and 85 years old
  • Your shoulder X-ray/CT shows your shoulder socket bone is not severely worn or misshapen
  • You can sign informed consent and follow study instructions, including imaging like a CT scan
