Who can take part

  • You have focal (localized) epilepsy that does not respond to seizure medicines
  • You are scheduled for a pre-surgery workup that includes placing electrodes inside the brain
  • The pre-surgery video-EEG assessment is done at the Neurology department at Pitié-Salpêtrière hospital
  • You can understand the study and give written consent
  • You are not pregnant and not breastfeeding
  • You do not have medical reasons that make an intracranial electrode procedure too risky (like serious active infection or certain high-risk health problems)
