Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older and have drug-resistant focal (one-area) epilepsy.
  • Your doctor has said you may be a candidate for epilepsy surgery.
  • You must be willing to undergo intracranial stereo-EEG (brain) monitoring with electrodes.
  • You can understand and sign the informed consent form.
  • You do not have an active infection, especially with fever or infections near the implant site.
  • Your scalp/skin at the implant site is healthy enough for safe electrode placement.
