Who can take part

  • Your tumor must be a lung (bronchial) neuroendocrine tumor that is well- or moderately-differentiated, or typical/atypical carcinoid—not high-grade or poorly differentiated.
  • Your scan must show somatostatin receptors on a DOTATATE PET scan (tumor uptake higher than background liver) within the past year (best within 6 months).
  • You must have advanced or spreading disease that has grown on scans within the past 12 months, and you must have measurable tumors on CT or MRI.
  • You should not have had prior peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (like Lu-177 dotatate) and must not have had an mTOR inhibitor (like everolimus) before.
  • You must have adequate blood, kidney, liver, and nutrition test results and be well enough to do normal activities (ECOG 0–2).
  • You must not be pregnant or nursing, and should not have certain serious infections or unstable conditions.
