Who can take part
- You are a woman age 65 or older (or turning 65 within the study year).
- Your breast cancer is invasive ductal cancer (not lobular) and is one single (not multifocal) tumor.
- Your tumor is early stage: T0 or T1, and lymph nodes are not involved (N0) based on scans/clinical assessment.
- Your tumor grade is 1 or 2 (not grade 3), and it is hormone-receptor positive (HR+) and HER2 negative.
- You must be able to give informed consent in writing and not be unable to communicate or be under court/guardian authority.
- You cannot have certain higher-risk features like lymphatic invasion, peri-nerve involvement, or blood vessel spread, and you cannot have metastatic (spread) cancer.
