This study tests whether adding the drugs pembrolizumab and olaparib (or similar “radiosensitizers”) to radiation can improve outcomes for women with advanced breast cancer that is triple-negative or ER-positive/Her2-negative. Who can take part

  • You are a woman age 18 or older and can sign consent
  • Your breast cancer is either triple-negative or ER-positive and Her2-negative
  • Your cancer has returned or spread (metastatic or recurrent)
  • You are well enough to do daily activities (ECOG 0–1), and have recent lab results showing your organs work well enough
  • You have at least one spot doctors can measure on scans that will not be the main radiation target
  • You can have (or already have) a tumor tissue sample for testing, and you have a treatment plan that includes palliative radiation to at least one site
