Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 70 years old.
  • You do not have a history of nerve/spinal cord injury or progressive muscle/nerve disease.
  • You are medically stable, without serious heart problems, recent stroke, or unstable conditions.
  • You do not have sleep apnea and you are not a current smoker.
  • You are not using spasticity medicine (related meds) or received anti-spasticity injections in the last 3 months.
  • If doing an MRI/fMRI part: no metal in eyes/face, no implanted electronic devices, no claustrophobia, and no certain body piercings/tattoos.
