Who can take part
- You have a recent deep vein clot (DVT) in a leg along with blockage/narrowing of the iliac vein on the same side (>50%).
- The clot must be recent (not long-standing); your DVT start was within about 3 weeks.
- You plan to have treatment to remove the clot (percutaneous mechanical thrombectomy), with or without clot-dissolving treatment through a catheter.
- You will receive an iliac vein stent during that procedure or within 30 days after.
- You can take both a blood thinner and antiplatelet medicines safely (no known allergy/contraindication).
- Your kidney function is not too low (glomerular filtration rate is at least 60 mL/min).
