Who can take part
- You must be a man aged 29 to 59.
- You must speak English well enough to do thinking tests (no translation available).
- If you’re in the former football group: you played at least 3 professional seasons with at least 3 games in each season.
- If you’re in the control group: you have no organized football experience beyond high school.
- You must be able to have an MRI scan safely (no pacemaker/metal that could be dangerous, and you can handle being in the scanner).
- You should not have a history of severe traumatic brain injury, psychosis, or another major brain condition that would block the testing, and you should not have unstable heart problems.
