Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 65 years old
  • You had a non-penetrating head injury (not a wound that went into the brain) with imaging showing brain injury
  • Your accident was high-energy (for example, a serious car crash, a fall from height)
  • You lost consciousness right away after the injury (not delayed)
  • You are able to do repeated brain MRI scans with contrast dye (if you have MRI metal implants, pregnancy, gadolinium allergy, kidney problems, or severe claustrophobia, you may not qualify)
