Who can take part
- You’re age 18 or older and have long-term (chronic) artery plaque blockages
- Your leg circulation test fits Rutherford level 2 to 5
- You’re able and willing to come back for follow-up visits on time for up to 24 months
- Doctors must be able to pass a wire across the blockage before the stent is placed
- The blockage must be in the femoral artery split area (with specific spacing) and you need a primary bare-metal stent
- There must be blood flow through the deep thigh artery (not fully blocked), plus adequate “runoff” vessels in the lower leg
