Who can take part

  • You’re age 18 or older and have long-term (chronic) artery plaque blockages
  • Your leg circulation test fits Rutherford level 2 to 5
  • You’re able and willing to come back for follow-up visits on time for up to 24 months
  • Doctors must be able to pass a wire across the blockage before the stent is placed
  • The blockage must be in the femoral artery split area (with specific spacing) and you need a primary bare-metal stent
  • There must be blood flow through the deep thigh artery (not fully blocked), plus adequate “runoff” vessels in the lower leg
