Who can take part

  • You have moderate to severe leg pain or wounds (Rutherford category 2–5).
  • You are 18 years or older and agree to follow-up visits.
  • You have a blockage in the thigh or knee artery that is at least 25 cm long (or a complete blockage at least 15 cm long).
  • The artery below the knee and at least one vessel to the foot must be open.
  • You have not had a bypass or stent in the same artery before.
  • You do not have serious kidney disease or a known allergy to contrast dye.
