Check immune treatment before surgery for stage III lung cancer
Treatments studied
Part of Cancer, Lungs & breathing clinical trials.
This Phase 2 trial tests an “immunotherapy” medicine given before surgery for stage III non-small cell lung cancer. The goal is to shrink the cancer and make curative surgery more successful while monitoring safety and response.

Who can take part
- You (or your guardian) agree to sign the informed consent form.
- You are age 18 or older, and have stage III non-small cell lung cancer confirmed by scans (CT/PET-CT/EBUS) and a needle biopsy.
- You can do most daily activities (ECOG score 0–1) and are expected to live at least 12 weeks.
- There is at least one measurable tumor spot on scans, and you are able to have curative surgery after the pre-surgery treatment.
- Your overall organ health tests are adequate (blood counts, liver and kidney labs, and blood clotting results meet study cutoffs).
- Your cancer should not have spread to distant sites (no M1a/M1b/M1c), and certain cancer types/mutations and recent cancer treatments may be excluded.

This trial tests whether giving chemotherapy plus immunotherapy before surgery can help shrink stage 3 lung cancer and improve outcomes. The goal is to make the tumor easier to remove and possibly lower the chance of it coming back.
This trial tests a combination of chemotherapy and an immunotherapy drug called sintilimab to shrink unresectable stage IIIB-IIIC non-small cell lung cancer, making it possible to remove it with surgery. The goal is to see if this approach can help patients who aren't candidates for surgery now become candidates later.
This trial tests combining two immunotherapy drugs (anti-CTLA-4 antibody and sintilimab) with chemotherapy before surgery for stage II-III non-small cell lung cancer. The goal is to see if this approach helps shrink tumors and improve outcomes.
This trial tests a new combination of an immunotherapy drug (IBI363) plus chemotherapy before surgery in people with Stage III lung cancer that can't be removed at first. The goal is to shrink the tumor so it can be surgically removed.
This trial studies adding an immunotherapy drug (sintilimab) to standard chemotherapy before surgery for resectable squamous non-small cell lung cancer. It aims to shrink the tumor and improve outcomes, while still keeping the cancer operable.
This trial tests whether combining radiation, an immunotherapy drug (toripalimab), and chemotherapy before surgery can help shrink tumors and improve outcomes in people with resectable stage II to III non-small cell lung cancer. It aims to see if this approach works better than standard chemotherapy alone.
