Who can take part
- You are younger than 65 and have a new serious heart rhythm or electrical problem (like higher-degree AV block) OR a new or known dangerous rhythm (like ventricular tachycardia)
- A heart blood vessel cause (coronary artery disease) must have been ruled out
- Or you have sarcoidosis outside the heart plus signs that the heart may also be involved (for example palpitations, abnormal ECG, or abnormal echocardiogram)
- Doctors will evaluate you using standard diagnostic approaches (WASOG, Heart Rhythm Society guidance, or Japanese nuclear heart guidance)
- If you have a heart biopsy sample, a tissue lab result helps classify you as 'proven'—without it, you may be 'probable'
- You can and will give informed consent (and you are not pregnant or breastfeeding)
