Who can take part
- Your stroke happened at least 6 months ago, and your health is stable
- Your stroke affected one side of your body (not multiple strokes affecting both sides)
- Your hand muscles have stiffness (you score at least 1 on the MAS test)
- You do not have significant vision problems, neglect, or major hearing or thinking (cognitive) problems
- You have not had certain nerve/spasticity treatments recently (botulinum within 4 months, phenol within 2 years) and you are not changing tone medicine now
- You do not have a pacemaker and you are not pregnant
