Who can take part

  • Your stroke happened at least 6 months ago, and your health is stable
  • You have had one stroke affecting one side of your body
  • You have arm/finger muscle tightness that can be measured (MAS score 1 or higher)
  • You do not currently have stroke-related vision loss, neglect, or major hearing or thinking problems
  • You have not had botulinum toxin (Botox) shots in the arm/fingers in the last 4 months, or phenol shots in the last 2 years
  • You do not have serious lung conditions (like COPD) and you do not have a pacemaker
