Who can take part

  • Your stroke happened more than 6 months ago
  • You still have arm weakness on one side (residual upper-limb hemiparesis)
  • You can have an arm movement/brain test and get reliable responses (MEP) from a single TMS pulse
  • Your arm function score (Fugl-Meyer) is below 66
  • Your thinking/memory test score (MMSE) is above 24
  • You have no reasons you cannot safely receive TMS or peripheral nerve stimulation (like certain metal in the head/eyes/neck, implanted devices, or seizure history)
