Who can take part
- You have Parkinson’s disease, and your doctor already recommended STN DBS using normal medical criteria
- You already have bilateral STN DBS with a Medtronic Percept PC implant (not just any DBS system)
- Your DBS settings and Parkinson’s medicines have been stable for at least 3 months after your implant
- Your device can detect a strong brain “beta” signal during a survey (at least 0.7 µV/rtHz)
- Your stimulation works well: you improve by at least 30% on the UPDRS III test when stim is on (compared with stim off), at least 3 months after surgery
