Who can take part
- You are 18 or older and can sign an informed consent form
- Your liver cancer (HCC) is confirmed by tumor tissue or a typical CT/MRI scan
- Your cancer is “intermediate stage”: it’s not treatable by cure surgery/ablation, but it is treatable with TACE at enrollment (as your doctor decides)
- Your liver is working well enough: Child-Pugh class A or B7 (and ascites must not be a major problem)
- Your overall health is good enough: ECOG 0–1 and you have blood test results within required ranges
- Your stomach veins (varices) have been checked and treated if needed to lower bleeding risk
