Who can take part

  • You have advanced liver cancer (HCC) that cannot be removed with surgery
  • Your liver function is fairly preserved (Child-Pugh A or B)
  • You are able to care for yourself most of the time (ECOG 0–1)
  • Your blood counts are high enough (white cells, neutrophils, platelets, and hemoglobin meet the lab cutoffs)
  • You do not have serious heart, lung, or kidney disease
  • You have no other separate (second) primary cancer, and you can take both study medicines
