Who can take part

  • Be 18–80 years old and be willing to attend all study visits for the whole study period
  • Sign a consent form and follow study instructions
  • Have hearing instability: documented hearing changes on hearing tests (either a meaningful shift over repeat tests or a sudden drop) and sensorineural hearing loss
  • For at least one ear, you must not have large “conductive” hearing issues (no big air–bone gap over 10 dB from 500–4000 Hz)
  • If you can become pregnant, have a negative pregnancy test at the start of the study
