Who can take part
- Be over 20 years old
- Have chronic kidney disease with eGFR between 15 and 60 (stable for about a month)
- Have symptomatic PAD (leg artery disease) that is at least moderate and confirmed by an ABI of 0.9 or less (or similar scan evidence)
- If you do not have PAD or kidney disease, you may qualify only if your eGFR is over 60 and there is no PAD
- Do not have severe malnutrition (low albumin), very low hemoglobin, or active gastrointestinal bleeding
- Do not take antibiotics or probiotics in the last 2 weeks (and avoid them during the study)
