NCT04819217Recruiting
Probiotics and a toxin binder to slow chronic kidney disease

This trial studies an oral product (a “uremic toxin” absorber) plus probiotics to help slow the progression of chronic kidney disease. It may help by lowering harmful gut-related substances that can build up when kidney function is reduced.

NCT04788914Recruiting
Test saliva or blood markers to track kidney and leg disease treatment

This study looks at a gene marker (“lncRNA,” a natural molecule in the body) to see how well an oral absorbent, with or without probiotics, is helping people with chronic kidney disease (CKD) who also have blocked leg arteries. It may help doctors better measure treatment impact and tailor care.

NCT04792320Recruiting
Probiotics and fiber for kidney disease with leg artery blockage

This study tests whether an oral absorbent plus probiotics can improve gut health and circulation in people who have chronic kidney disease and symptomatic peripheral artery disease (PAD). It will also track changes in blood markers and how well blood vessels function.

NCT06863194Recruiting· Phase 1/Phase 2
Probiotics and kidney disease progression trial

This trial tests whether taking a probiotic supplement can slow down the decline of kidney function in people with moderate chronic kidney disease (CKD stages 3 and 4). If you have stable kidney disease and are not already taking probiotics, joining this study could help researchers find a new way to protect your kidneys.

Kidney health study for older adults not on dialysis

This study tests whether a traditional Chinese medicine called Niaoduqing Granules can help improve kidney function in people over 60 with chronic kidney disease. It may offer a new way to manage the condition without dialysis.

Study of gut microbial metabolites in chronic kidney disease

This trial studies how substances made by gut microbes travel in people with chronic kidney disease. You may be asked to have a planned colonoscopy so researchers can measure intestinal samples and better understand kidney disease.
