Who can take part
- You have a confirmed diagnosis of multiple sclerosis (MS)
- You have been off steroid medicines for more than 4 weeks
- You take part in the Swiss MS Cohort (SMSC) study
- You do not have a pacemaker or any metal object that could interfere with MRI near the spinal cord
- You can safely receive an MRI contrast dye (gadolinium) if needed; no prior bad reaction to it
