Safety and outcomes study of a smart knee replacement

This trial studies whether a “smart” knee replacement system (CORI) is safe and works well for people getting a total knee arthroplasty (TKA). If you’re a good candidate for a cemented standard knee replacement, the study follows you for two years to check results after surgery.

Who can take part

  • You are scheduled for a first-time total knee replacement (TKA) using the specific CORI system and matching knee implant parts from the sponsor
  • Your knee problem is a typical reason for TKA, such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, avascular necrosis, deformity needing correction, or a fracture needing this type of surgery
  • You can legally consent (age 18+) and will be fully grown at the time of surgery
  • You can and will return for study visits for two years after surgery
  • Your doctor can take the usual X-rays needed for the study
  • You do not need a complex or custom implant (like stems, augments, or custom-made devices) for your TKA
