Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older
- You have a new (acute) ischemic stroke, meaning a stroke caused by a blocked blood vessel
- Your brain scan shows a low ASPECTS score between 0 and 5
- A scan confirms the artery blockage is still present (persistent occlusion) in one of these areas: the terminal carotid artery, the middle brain artery (M1 or M2), or the basilar artery
- Your study site’s ethics approval is in process (you may still be screened depending on local timing)
