Who can take part

  • You’re 18 years or older
  • You have moderate-to-severe or severe mitral valve leakage (at least 3+)
  • Your heart symptoms are class II, III, or you can walk but have class IV symptoms
  • You’ve been on the recommended heart medicines for at least one month
  • A heart team says you’re high-risk for open-heart surgery and you match the valve’s body-size/shape needs
  • A detailed heart ultrasound test (TEE) can be safely done for you
