Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older and live with the person who has dementia
  • You need an insomnia diagnosis and have had sleep problems for at least 6 months
  • You must be able to read and understand English and be willing to join a randomized study
  • You should not use sleep medicines (prescribed or over-the-counter) for at least 1 month, or be on a stable dose for 6 months or more
  • Your baseline sleep records (sleep diary) should show trouble falling asleep and/or staying asleep on at least 3 nights
